crowders mountain

posted by Michael Piwonka 8:32 PM
Martha and I took advantage of our Labor Day to take a fairly strenuous hike on Crowders Mountain.  We really enjoy hiking there, since it's relatively close to Charlotte, and does provide an actual mountain hike.

We hiked the "moderately strenuous" trail, taking over 4 hours to cover about 12.5 miles round trip.  It was a wonderful hike, and we were thoroughly exhausted by the end.

My feet hurt after it, not being used to such hikes.  I really thought that I was developing blisters on my feet during the hike, but fortunately none developed...only some tenderness.

It feels great to get outdoors and get some exercise.

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
