greek festival

posted by Michael Piwonka 10:15 AM
Yesterday afternoon the kids and I went to the 30th annual Yiasou Greek Festival here in Charlotte. Held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Catherdral, the event has grown to be a highlight on the local event calendar.

We enjoyed the traditional Greek music and dance, authentic foods that we can't pronounce, and the general friendliness of everyone there. For me, the best part, as is always the case at such events, is the people watching.

We picked up some items for the kids to enjoy: a necklace of wooden beads for Allie, and a bracelet for Mason.
