A friend from work sent me a link to a quiz about spiritual and religious beliefs. At first I thought it was some sort of a joke, but it turned out to be a serious attempt at quantifying one's belief system.

While my results were no surprise to me (basically humanist), I was more intrigued by the grouping and framing of questions. I can think of several "deeply religious" acquaintances who might benefit from taking the evaluation also; while their results won't be surprising to them just as mine weren't to me, simply pondering the diversity of answers might prove enlightening. Because diversity is the one thing they're missing in their lives.

But who am I to judge, which is the whole point, isn't it?

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
