history, part II

posted by Michael Piwonka 2:54 PM
Dennis found a picture of my great-grandmothers as he was helping Mom prepare to move to Thomas and Wendy's house. Previous pictures were posted here.

Dennis identified our ancestors, including some theories that our great-grandmothers may have been a little radical for their time:

Vincent Berans's mother (1868-1949) is third row left end (without a hat). Agnes Polansky Beran's mother, Vera (1863-1950), is center front row (without a hat). They are the only ones without a hat.

Maybe they were too poor to afford one or they are radical feminists who rejected hats the way more modern women burned their bras. I cannot tell if they have bras.

Bra-less women are pretty spicy for a website that's been fairly innocuous up to now!

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
