grayson highlands

posted by Michael Piwonka 11:09 PM
After picking up Allie at camp, we drove to Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia to go camping with friends.

Unfortunately it was raining, and we decided to spend Friday night in the car rather than deal with putting up a tent in the rain. We did see several deer through the fog as they wandered by our campsite.

Because of the rain, we decided to drive to Blowing Rock to spend Saturday night in the cabin. Our friends Sarah and Mandy came over also, and the kids enjoyed having a slumber party with them on the living room floor.

Even though the weather didn't cooperate, we still had a good time, particularly because the Element is well-suited for camping. In fact, I'm seriously considering getting the tailgate cabana Honda offers.

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
