walk-off homer
posted by Michael Piwonka 10:27 PM
This evening we completed a softball game that was suspended on Monday. With two innings left to play, we were trailing by 3 runs. In slow-pitch softball, that's not a deficit to worry about.
In the top of the sixth inning, the other team scored 5 more runs. But we countered with 8 in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game (I started the rally with a single).
We held them scoreless in the top of the seventh, and I lead off the bottom of the inning, doing something I've never done before. I hit a walk-off home run to win the game!
Watch out, Ryan Howard. I think I'm ready for the Major League.Labels: sports
