carowinds, part II

posted by Michael Piwonka 7:48 PM
The kids and I took a neighborhood dad and his children with us to the last day of the season at Carowinds.

The weather was spectacular, but unfortunately, it seemed that everyone else in Charlotte had the same idea as us: let's go one last time before the season is over. There were lots of people there, and wait times for the rides ate up so much time that we didn't get to go on that many rides. But it was fun nonetheless.

Mason was disappointed that he isn't tall enough for some of the more thrilling rides, but he definitely doesn't lack the desire. While Allie has a little reservation about going on the biggest, faster rides, Mason doesn't hesitate. He is looking forward to next summer, hoping that he's grown enough to get on the fastest ride of all, Top Gun.

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
