junior achievement, part V

posted by Michael Piwonka 7:44 PM
I finished the last Junior Achievement lesson this morning. We discussed the role of banks in a city, and we practiced making deposits and writing checks on our checking accounts.

We pretended to purchase some items with check and ATM card, then we balanced our accounts. The students were familiar with making deposits and writing checks, since many of them already have bank accounts.

I brought cookies for the students, and gave a Starbucks gift card to the teacher. I printed each student's name on Certificates of Completion, and passed them out.

I had a lot of fun teaching, but I'm glad to finish it.

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
