Lately I feel like I've taken a permanent position teaching Junior Achievement. Today I substituted for Penny to teach a lesson in Mason's kindergarten class.

While the students were eager and attentive, I have to admit I prefer teaching Allie's age group. The lessons for the older kids are much more interesting and challenging.

We discussed different types of coins, and the concepts of earning, spending and saving money. I thought the discussion was too simple for Mason's class; most of the kids in the class have checking and saving accounts.

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
