Our friend Will took several of us neighborhood guys to see the Charlotte Bobcats host the San Antonio Spurs last night.

Even though the game was never much of a contest, it was fun to get out, relax, and watch people at the game.

Unfortunately, neither Tim Duncan or Emeka Okafor played because of ankle injuries. Regardless, the Spurs, currently with the best record in the NBA, were expected to control the game, and that's just what they did.

The only negative part of the evening was driving home after the game in Penny's car. For some reason, it started idling roughly when stopped at a light, although the engine never died. When I got home, I asked Penny if this problem was an aberration or the norm; she said it doesn't happen "too often". Once is "too often" for me.

I asked her to set up an appointment with the dealer to check it out (should be under warranty). But I will probably end up doing it for her since car maintenance isn't high on her priority list.
