cholesterol, part 2

posted by Michael Piwonka 8:50 PM
After taking Crestor for about 9 months, I received some good news about my current levels when compared to my original levels.

Most notably, my total cholesterol level was down from my January 2004 reading of 293 to a September reading of 203. Also my LDL ("bad" cholesterol) is down from 220 to 125. While both these new levels represent the upper limit of acceptable readings, they are much better than previous levels.

Considering that I've done nothing other than take the Crestor, which has had no side effects, controlling my cholersterol level appears to be relatively simple. I have continued to jog regularly, which by itself didn't maintain my cholesterol levels within acceptable ranges.

I have another check-up scheduled for 6 months from now.

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
