Fourth of July

posted by Michael Piwonka 7:39 AM
We're spending the July 4 weekend in Woodstock, GA. Mason is excited to stay here with his grandparents when we leave.

The kids have enjoyed swimming with their cousins Amelia and Melissa. Today we'll probably going swimming again, and later tonight, we'll go somewhere to watch fireworks.

The current controversy on this side of the family revolves around the hired help to take care of Penny's 91-year-old grandmother, Nanny. There is disagreement among the daughters (Penny's mom and aunts) about what's best for Nanny. It's got the sisters in a tizzy, but I'm sure it will work itself out.

Today is my brother Thomas's birthday (49-years-old, if I'm not mistaken), and my great-niece (or grandniece?) Megan's birthday (I can't recall her age).

It looks like it will be a nice day today. Penny is trying to locate some paddleboats for us today, but I fear the lakes will be too busy this weekend.

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
