handling your parents

posted by Michael Piwonka 11:23 PM
I was doing some work on my computer this afternoon, and Mason was asking me to help him set up some game on Allie's computer. I told him I would be there to help him as soon as I finished what I was doing, but he continued to beg me to help him.

I was getting a little irritated, and said firmly that I would help as soon as I finished what I was doing. Mason countered with something like "if you help me now, then you won't have to stop what you're doing later."

His logic made me chuckle, and I agreed to stop and help him. As we started up the stairs, he said in a confident voice: "I know how to handle you."

I thought to myself that may be true, but it would be in your best interest to keep that to yourself.

I like his style.

random. arbitrary. completely unnecessary. yet refreshingly therapeutic.
